Educational Consulting

At 3-C Family Services, our Educational Services team brings together a unique combination of expertise in education, special education, school psychology, and educational leadership. Team members hold advanced degrees in education and school psychology and have served in a variety of roles within public education, including special education teachers, special education directors, school administrators, and educational consultants.

Our professionals possess extensive knowledge of federal and North Carolina educational laws, policies, and procedures, as well as the practical experience necessary to help students and families successfully navigate educational systems. With decades of combined experience, our team understands both the educational and family perspectives and is committed to developing solutions that support student growth, independence, and long-term success.

We provide comprehensive educational support for students from kindergarten through young adulthood. Our services are designed to address academic, behavioral, executive functioning, and educational planning needs through evidence-based practices and individualized support. Whether a student requires specialized instruction, skill development, educational advocacy, consultation, or transition planning, our team delivers services tailored to each student's unique strengths and challenges.

At 3-C Family Services, we believe that every student deserves access to the supports, strategies, and opportunities necessary to reach their full potential. Our Educational Services team partners with families, schools, and community providers to create meaningful pathways to success both inside and outside the classroom.

The members of the educational consulting team at 3-C hold master’s degrees in education or doctorates in school psychology. They have served in the public school system as special education teachers, special education directors, and school administrators. They have also been trained in the practices and policies of the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction and completed formalized training programs within the local school systems including Wake and Durham counties. This means they have been in hundreds of meetings in the schools and understand the school/county perspectives to best anticipate barriers and how to negotiate them. They can guide families through the overwhelming process of seeking supports, identifying resources, and identifying ideal educational environments. The end goal of the consultation is to help the family and school system communicate and work collaboratively, resulting in the best possible outcome for the child.
