Divorce without Drama Video Series

Springfield Collaborative Divorce, colleagues of the 3-C Family Services team and producers of the Divorce Without Drama series, have released a new video that focuses on a child’s perspective when parents are divorcing. Kerry Burleigh, a partner at the law firm, says events like holidays and birthdays can be overwhelmingly painful and typically cause internalized grief for children whose parents have separated.

In this latest installment of the Divorce Without Drama series, the “Kids Caught in the Middle” video provides a candid look inside the feelings and thoughts of these children.

Why is the Divorce Rate So High?

Today, it is estimated one out of every two marriages will result in divorce. This is up significantly from 1950, when the divorce rate was about 22-24 percent. Why has the rate gone up so much in the last half century?
