Sarah Fenik, LCMHCA, is a licensed clinical mental health counselor associate as well as a licensed school counselor. Before coming to 3-C Family Services, she spent 17 years as an elementary/middle school counselor in WCPSS and CHCCS.
Sarah will continue working with children, adolescents, and families using an eclectic counseling approach designed to meet the unique needs of her clients. This most often will include methods that are client centered, solution focused, and integrate cognitive behavioral therapy techniques. Helping to bridge and connect therapy with school-related concerns is an area of focus as well if appropriate, as she works to support all her clients in a balanced and holistic way.
Sarah is originally from Buffalo, N.Y., and received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from SUNY Fredonia. She then moved to Los Angeles and worked at a managed mental health care company before finding her way to North Carolina, where she received her master’s degree from N.C. State University in 2004. She and her family enjoy sports, music, the arts, nature, and exploring the beautiful beach and mountain areas of North Carolina.
